After all, the Guardians of the Galaxy movies wouldn't be half as fun without their funky playlists, and who can forget the uses of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" in Wayne's World, or Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" in Almost Famous. While most are familiar with how much a great score can help make a movie or TV show memorable, how a project makes use of popular music can prove just as pivotal. The Stand's 1994 miniseries is closely associated with Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper," but the 2020 show's use of the song was a letdown.
